Another Youth Update

Just wanted to let you know that Nick participated in the Polar Bear Plunge yesterday at The Trail of Tears Park. He and some of his friends dressed as members of the rock band Kiss and managed to earn at least $150. They have a web site up and can still get donations til march. The weather wasn't too bad, the water temp was 36 degrees. Mud was the biggest problem. They also recieved honorable mention (3rd place ) in the costume contest.

Gordon B. Hinckley Tribute

As many of you know, our beloved prophet, President Gordon B. Hinckley passed away in his home on Sunday night, January 27th.  I am grateful for the opportunity we had to sustain him one last time on Sunday morning in our branch conference.  I am also grateful for the knowledge we have that he was a true prophet of God.  What an example he was of service and faith as well as an inspiration to us all.

I feel that the following video, which was produced by my sister Kerrianne Burch as a tribute to President Hinckley is touching, inspiring, and appropriate to share.  It is true that because of him we will all stand a little taller.  Please feel free to share your thoughts by using the comment link at the bottom of this post.
