YW/RS Campout!

We have scheduled a Young Women/Relief Society Campout as an Enrichment Activity for Friday evening, September 26th. This is the night before the General Relief Society broadcast. We plan to get home early enough that Saturday that you have time to take care of your home and family and then make it back to the church that night for the broadcast and dessert.

All Young Women and Relief Society sisters are invited to attend. We will camp in tents at the Smith's Grand Chain Lodge and Campground in Grand Chain, Illinois. One group of sisters will meet early in the afternoon to drive over and work on a small service project at the camp. We will provide tent space for you to sleep and food. Unless other items are specifically requested of you, you will just need to bring a sleeping bag or bed roll and a change of clothes, a flashlight, and other personal items.

We are excited for this opportunity to bond with the Young Women and learn or refresh some of our survival/emergency preparedness skills. We will be cooking delicious meals from food storage items, practicing some skills, and so much more!

Please comment on this post or email me to let me know what time you want to leave. The options are : 1:00 pm, 4:00 pm, and 5:30 pm. Meeting places will vary based on drivers for each group.

Hopefully one of those times will accommodate your schedules with work and school. We need top know how many people will be coming in each shift. Please comment or email your desired time ASAP.
